While our county parks and their programs are sustained primarily through funds provided by county government, when this funding is not available, the Foundation helps to enhance the Parks by providing the resources necessary to develop or sustain facilities or programs.

Developing and maintaining a top class park system that benefits all residents, organizations and companies is a challenge. The Foundation provides a new source of revenue for our parks and lessens the burden of local government to fund these activities.

The Foundation achieves this goal by generating cash and in-kind donations, grants, planned giving contributions, and the donation of other financial and real property and providing these funds for targeted projects within our park system. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors composed of long-time area leaders from business, government and community organizations.
