FINDING A ZONING DISTRICT

It is important to find out in which Zoning district the property lies because districts have different allowable uses and regulations.

Before any zoning approval is processed, the zoning district for the property must be verified.

Visit the Early Assistance Desk in the lobby of the Development Services Building for further instruction on how to obtain a zoning verification.

FIND THE ZONING DISTRICT ON COUNTY MAPPER.

1. Open County Mapper.
2. Click on the Quick Search drop down bar. (Binoculars icon)
3. Select the GPIN, Address or Owner tab, enter information accordingly, and click Submit.
4. Click the Layers drop down bar. (Upper left corner of map area)
5. Click on the Land Development tab and turn on the Zoning layer.
6. Zoom in to the general area until the layer name and check box are no longer grayed out.
7. Optional: Slide the bar at the top to control the transparency of the Zoning layer.
8. The zoning district is overlaid on the parcel.
