Solid Waste Management is the division of Public Works responsible for the operation of the landfill, trash disposal, recycling, composting, household hazardous waste collection, and environmental controls to safeguard the community.

LOCATIONS & HOURS OF OPERATION

All residents are REQUIRED TO STOP at the Traffic Control Booth and present a valid VA-DMV issued ID before disposing of waste at both disposal facilities. Learn more about proof of Prince William County residency here.

The Prince William County Landfill is located at 14811 Dumfries Road, Manassas, VA, and is open to residential and commercial users.

The Compost Facility is located at 13000 Hansen Farm Road, Manassas, VA, and is open to residential and commercial users.

Please note: Both facilities share the same hours of operation. 

  • Monday-Friday: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed

 The Landfill Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be reached by phone at (703)-792-5750.
